Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Recruiting Workers for Companies Participating in '0.5 & 0.75 Jobs' Program

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation are recruiting participants for the ‘Gyeonggi Family-Friendly Company 0.5&0.75 Job’ program to support work-life balance for workers employed at family-friendly companies within the province.

The 0.5&0.75 Job program allows workers who need to adjust their working hours due to various reasons such as family care, childcare, or studies to work reduced hours while compensating for the resulting salary reduction.

Employees working at family-friendly companies located in Gyeonggi Province can apply for reduced working hours ranging from 20 to 38 hours per week, and receive a monthly reduced salary support payment of up to 300,000 KRW. Additionally, colleagues who share the workload of the reduced-hour workers receive a differentiated workload sharing support payment of up to 200,000 KRW per month depending on the number of people. This helps alleviate the burden of workforce management within organizations and fosters a culture of mutual cooperation among workers.

Furthermore, to address workforce gaps caused by reduced working hours, when a Gyeonggi family-friendly company hires a replacement worker, an additional employment incentive of up to 1,200,000 KRW per month per newly hired replacement worker is also provided. This support ensures practical benefits not only for the workers who take reduced hours but also for the companies and the new employees.

Applications will be accepted until the budget is exhausted. Applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation’s integrated application system ‘Jobaba Apply’ (https://apply.jobaba.net).

This project is expected to help workers achieve work-life balance while providing practical assistance to companies in creating flexible working environments. It is also anticipated to serve as an opportunity to spread a family-friendly organizational culture.

Kim Dong-hyun, Head of the Southern Business Division at the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, said, "This system provides practical help to residents who want a balance between work and life and contributes to companies creating family-friendly working environments. We will continue to strive to create a workplace where everyone can work well."
