A financial accident due to excessive loans occurred at NH Nonghyup Bank.
According to the financial sector on the 3rd, NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the same day that a financial accident occurred where an outsider (loan consultant) inflated the appraisal value of a multi-family house, causing approximately 20.5 billion KRW in mortgage loans.
The period during which the accident occurred is from February 10, 2022, to April 25, 2023.
The expected loss amount is currently undetermined, but it is reported that loan repayments by multiple debtors are proceeding normally.
NH Nonghyup Bank detected this accident through an internal audit and plans to file a complaint with investigative authorities against the loan consultant who led the excessive loans.
