The plaque ceremony was attended by Governor Jo Sangrae, county officials, Noh Dongil, President of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, and other representatives from the organization, commemorating Gokseong-gun's achievements in sharing activities. Last year, the county raised approximately 390 million KRW, and during the Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign, an additional 180 million KRW was collected, totaling 570 million KRW. This represents a 112% increase compared to 2023 and has been highly praised for greatly contributing to the spread of a sharing culture in the region.
The funds raised by Gokseong-gun will be fully used to address welfare blind spots in the region, such as supporting neighbors in need of care, social welfare facilities, and emergency living expenses.
Noh Dongil, President of Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "The active efforts to spread a culture of sharing in Gokseong-gun and the warm participation of local residents led to this achievement," and added, "Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae will continue to strive to further expand sharing activities for neighbors in need within the community."
Governor Jo Sangrae emphasized, "I sincerely thank everyone who actively participated in donations to help neighbors in need despite difficult economic circumstances," and added, "Gokseong-gun will continue to promote the culture of sharing and make ongoing efforts to eliminate welfare blind spots."
Meanwhile, the county has been actively participating in sharing campaigns every year and is contributing to the improvement of local welfare through various donation activities. With this award, it plans to cooperate with the local community to establish a more systematic culture of sharing.
