Lotte Mart announced on the 4th that it will sell Norwegian salmon at the lowest price across all stores for one week starting from the 3rd to celebrate the 'Thank You Festival'.

Lotte Mart is offering Norwegian 'SUPER Fresh Salmon (100g·for sashimi)' at a 50% discount to L.Point members when paying with event cards, priced at 2,990 KRW.

This is the first time since 2021 that Lotte Mart is selling Norwegian fresh salmon in the 2,000 KRW range. Since most salmon is imported, prices are heavily influenced by exchange rates. From 2023, the KRW-USD exchange rate surpassed 1,300 and 1,400 KRW, causing sales prices to rise accordingly. The increase in air freight costs due to the Russia-Ukraine war also had a significant impact.

In response, Lotte Mart contracted a total of 40 tons of salmon raw material during this Thank You Festival event period. After processing the raw materials locally in Norway, they were air-shipped directly without passing through intermediaries, enhancing freshness and price competitiveness.

The sashimi-grade salmon introduced this time is made into fillets with all fish bones removed to increase cooking convenience. This product is high-quality salmon that has received the Superior grade. Lotte Mart expects high purchase demand from customers planning spring outings or camping.

Additionally, Lotte Mart is offering various salmon products at discounted prices. 'Negi Salmon Sashimi (120g)', produced in collaboration with Chef Jang Ho-jun from the ‘Black and White Chef’ program, is sold to L.Point members at 9,900 KRW after a 5,000 KRW discount. 'SUPER Fresh Salmon Sushi (16 pieces)', made with Norwegian salmon, is offered to L.Point members at 11,700 KRW with a 40% discount.

Jo Sung-yeon, MD of Lotte Mart & Super Seafood Team, said, "To stabilize consumer prices during the Thank You Festival, we prepared the lowest-priced salmon event in the 2,000 KRW range by pre-contracting the largest volume ever." He added, "We will continue to regularly offer sensational price events so that Lotte Mart automatically comes to mind when thinking of salmon."
