"Detailed Surveillance and Analysis of Enemy Activities Around the DMZ"

The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 3rd that Chairman Kim visited the headquarters of the Army's 5th Corps, checked the operational readiness to effectively respond to the changing operational environment and enemy provocations, and encouraged the soldiers.
Chairman Kim's on-site inspection was carried out to check the practical readiness against threats of enemy provocations and to encourage the soldiers who are devotedly carrying out operations for the country and the people from their respective positions.
After receiving a report on the recent enemy situation and operational plans to prepare for enemy provocations, Chairman Kim instructed, "In preparation for the increasingly sophisticated strategic and tactical provocation threats of the enemy, enhanced by the North Korean military's deployment to the Russia-Ukraine war to cultivate combat experience, we will conduct more detailed surveillance and analysis of enemy activities around the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ)."
He continued, "In the event of enemy provocations, we will focus on field-centered actions that can maintain the initiative on the battlefield through resolute responses."
Chairman Kim also urged, "In all operational activities, including operational measures within the DMZ, conduct thorough stability assessments to prioritize the safety of soldiers, and establish contingency plans considering unexpected situations so that they can be immediately implemented."
