Creating an Environment Where Students Can Fully Realize Their Potential

Lee Sanggeun, a member of the Chungnam Provincial Council, who proposed the ordinance for promoting customized gifted education

The Chungnam Provincial Council announced that it has given notice of the ‘Chungnam Office of Education Gifted Education Promotion Ordinance’ proposed by Lee Sanggeun (People Power Party, Hongseong 1).

The purpose of the Gifted Education Promotion Ordinance is to systematize the identification and support of gifted students in order to foster creative talent in Chungnam, and to establish and implement customized policies that reflect the characteristics of the region.

The ordinance includes provisions such as ▲the superintendent’s responsibilities for promoting gifted education ▲establishment and implementation of a gifted education promotion plan ▲promotion of gifted education projects ▲establishment and operation of a gifted education support center ▲and building a cooperative system with the local community.

In particular, it is expected that the establishment and operation of a gifted education center will further strengthen Chungnam’s educational competitiveness by systematically supporting the identification of gifted students, development of educational programs, and teacher training.

Lee Sanggeun stated, “This ordinance aims to create an environment where students in Chungnam can fully realize their potential and to establish a systematic support foundation for nurturing creative talent,” adding, “I hope it will enhance Chungnam’s educational competitiveness and contribute to the development of the local community.”
