17 Public Institutions in Busan to Hire Record 320 Employees in First Half of Year

Since the Implementation of the Integrated Written Exam in 2021

Seventeen public institutions in Busan will hire employees in the largest recruitment drive ever in the first half of this year.


Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced on the 3rd that it will begin accepting applications for the 2025 first half integrated written examination for public institution employees starting April 17.


In the first half of this year, a total of 320 people will be hired across 17 institutions, including Busan Transportation Corporation and Busan Urban Corporation. This is the largest number ever.


The number of recruits by institution is as follows: Busan Transportation Corporation 187, Busan Urban Corporation 30, Busan Facilities Management Corporation 34, Busan Environmental Corporation 8, BEXCO 4, Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation 6, Busan Technopark 2, Busan Economic Promotion Agency 11, Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency 3, Busan Global City Foundation 4, Busan Social Service Center 3, Busan Design Promotion Agency 2, Busan Cultural Foundation 2, Busan Cinema Center 10, Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion 1, Busan Cultural Center 4, and Busan Technology Startup Investment Institute 9.


This year's recruitment figure is 20 more than the 300 hired in the first half of last year, and includes nine new employees for the newly established Busan Technology Startup Investment Institute, which was founded in February.


Applications will be accepted online only, from 10 a.m. on April 17 to 5 p.m. on April 23, through the city's integrated public institution recruitment website. Applicants may not apply to more than one institution or submit multiple applications to the same institution.


Detailed information on job categories and exam subjects for each institution will be available from 2 p.m. on the 3rd via the city's integrated public institution recruitment website or the recruitment websites of each public institution.


The written exam will be held on May 17, and the test locations will be announced separately through the city's integrated public institution recruitment website. The list of successful candidates for the written exam will be announced at 2 p.m. on May 28 through the same website.


A personality test will be conducted for those who pass the written exam, followed by document screening and interviews by each institution.


Since 2021, Busan Metropolitan City has implemented the integrated written exam for public institution employees to enhance transparency and fairness in recruitment for its affiliated public institutions.


Kim Kyungtae, Director of Planning and Coordination at Busan Metropolitan City, said, "We hope to see great interest from talented individuals in joining the city's public institutions, which will help build Busan into a 'global hub city' and a 'city of happiness for citizens,' the core strategies of the 8th popularly elected administration. We will do our utmost to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process."
