Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch to Hold 'Wedding Fair' from 4th to 13th

Over 30 Brands Including Prada and Breitling to Participate

Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch announced on the 3rd that it will hold the 'Lotte Wedding Fair' from the 4th to the 13th.


According to data from Statistics Korea, the number of marriages last year increased by about 15% year-on-year, reaching 222,000 cases.

The number of people in their early 30s, considered the prime age for marriage, has been rising for two consecutive years. In fact, as the number of soon-to-be-married couples in their 30s with purchasing power increases, the average spending of Lotte Department Store's membership program for engaged couples, 'Lotte Wedding Members,' has also risen by 10% compared to the previous year, revitalizing the wedding market.


This year's Wedding Fair has expanded practical benefits, focusing on 'gift curation' to express gratitude, and includes luxury brands as well as a wide range of home living products needed for wedding preparations.


This event, the largest ever, will feature more than 30 brands, including Prada, Breitling, TAG Heuer, Time, Tempur, and Ace, with an increased number of premium wedding gift brands and participating companies.


First, during the event period, the Gwangju branch will present a 'Wedding Mileage Additional Accumulation' promotion. 'Wedding Mileage' is a rewards program that allows members of Lotte Wedding Members to accumulate up to 7% of their total purchases made at Lotte Department Store within nine months as Lotte gift certificates.


Especially during the Wedding Fair, customers can accumulate up to twice the usual mileage on their purchases, attracting many engaged couples preparing for marriage.


This year, the Wedding Fair will further enhance practical wedding products, including gifts for both families and formal wear for pre-wedding meetings from brands such as Galaxy, Maestro, Sieg, Time, and Mine, offering a diverse 'wedding curation' for soon-to-be-married couples.


In addition, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are offering special benefits, such as an additional 1 million Wedding Mileage points based on purchase amount, and up to 8.5% of the purchase amount as Lotte gift certificates.


There are also a variety of exclusive gift promotions for wedding customers. Lotte Wedding Members can enjoy a 15% discount on fruit gift sets and a 35% discount on Korean beef gift sets until the 6th of next month.


Furthermore, for wedding customers purchasing return gifts around the peak wedding season in April, Lotte Department Store Mall is introducing an online specialty store for return gifts.


At the return gift specialty store 'LOTTE WEDDING GIFT,' customers who purchase more than 300,000 KRW can receive up to 900,000 points in wedding and newlywed mileage, depending on the purchase amount. In addition, exclusive discount coupons for Wedding Members and a 10% additional coupon, which offers up to 50,000 KRW off purchases over 70,000 KRW, are also available.


Shin Hyunwoong, Head of Sales Planning at the Gwangju branch, said, "This Wedding Fair focuses on presenting 'gift curation' for soon-to-be-married couples by utilizing a variety of participating product categories, including formal wear, living, and luxury goods," adding, "We hope that this carefully prepared Wedding Fair will help couples take their first step toward a happy married life."
