40-ton Class Hyundai (HX400) and 24-ton Class Dibellon (DX240)
Equipped with Advanced Technologies Including Electronic Control Hydraulic System
Features Engines Selected as 'Diesel Engine of the Year' in Italy
Jo Youngcheol: "We Will Grow into Global Top Makers"
On the 3rd, HD Hyundai unveiled two next-generation new model excavators for the first time globally at the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The two new models are the 40-ton class excavator 'Hyundai (HX400)' from HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and the 24-ton class excavator 'Dibellon (DX240)' from HD Hyundai Infracore. These are also the first products jointly developed by the three HD Hyundai construction equipment companies (HD Hyundai Site Solutions, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and HD Hyundai Infracore).

Jo Young-cheol, President of HD Hyundai Site Solutions, stated, "Along with the new models, we plan to achieve cumulative exports of 4.5 billion units and overseas cumulative sales of 70 trillion KRW by 2030," adding, "We will lead the next-generation new models to grow the national representative construction equipment brands Hyundai and Dibellon into global top makers."
These models are equipped with an Electronic Control Hydraulic System (FEH). Features such as 'Smart Assist' to enhance work efficiency, 'Smart Safety' to ensure workplace safety, and 'Smart Monitoring' to maximize equipment availability time have been applied.
The next-generation models are also equipped with the DX05 and DX08 engines, which were selected as 'Diesel Engine of the Year' in Italy last year. Developed by HD Hyundai Infracore, these engines boast not only performance but also excellent fuel efficiency.
The Dibellon (DX240) equipped with the DX05 engine can produce a maximum output of 189 horsepower. Additionally, based on 1,500 hours of operation, it can save up to 2,142 liters of fuel. According to the company, this results in a 15% increase in productivity and a 24% improvement in fuel efficiency.
The Hyundai (HX400) is equipped with the DX08 engine. It delivers a maximum output of 340 horsepower, increasing productivity by 23% compared to previous models. Based on 1,500 hours of operation, it saves up to 34,502 liters of fuel, improving fuel efficiency by 32%.
Kim Kyung-tae, Head of Product Planning at HD Hyundai Site Solutions, who introduced the performance on the day, said, "The next-generation new models of Hyundai and Dibellon will set a new standard in the construction equipment industry in terms of productivity, safety, and customer convenience."

The design of these models was developed with a concept combining the latest technology and human-centered design. In particular, the seat of the operator cabin, considered the core of construction equipment design, uses vegan leather (leather made without animal materials). Additionally, ambient lighting that changes color according to the work mode was introduced to provide an emotional point.
Seo Eun-sook, Head of Design at HD Hyundai Site Solutions who participated in the next-generation model design, said, "The next-generation new models will lead the design trends of construction equipment by introducing elements that have never existed before."
Lee Dong-wook, CEO of HD Hyundai Site Solutions, said, "I am confident that the next-generation new models will be products that embody the future technology of the land vision 'Site Transformation (Xite Transformation)' proposed by HD Hyundai and mark the beginning of it."
The next-generation models of Hyundai and Dibellon were placed on the left and right sides respectively in the HD Hyundai exhibition hall at the Mobility Show. HD Hyundai introduces the core technologies applied to the next-generation models through a touch panel on the milestone table in front of the excavators.
The HD Hyundai exhibition hall was prepared with an area of 1,215㎡ (367 pyeong). It is composed of three keywords: 'Construction Innovation Leadership,' 'Construction Innovation Technology,' and 'Future of Construction Innovation.' Visitors can experience new technologies through 4D rides, RC (Remote Control) construction equipment, and VR (Virtual Reality) simulators.
