On the 2nd, the Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority held a 'Local Construction Industry Revitalization Meeting' regarding the construction of the Type 1 Port Hinterland Complex for Phases 2-3 of Pyeongtaek and Dangjin Ports.
The meeting focused on listening to the difficulties and issues faced by local construction companies affected by the long-term stagnant construction industry and seeking solutions to revitalize the local economy.
At the meeting, Kim Seok-gu, President of Pyeongtaek Port Authority, said, "I hope this Local Construction Industry Revitalization Meeting for the Type 1 Port Hinterland Complex of Phases 2-3 at Pyeongtaek and Dangjin Ports will bring some vitality to the sluggish local construction market," and promised, "We will continue to seek ways to revitalize the local construction industry as we proceed with the project."
The Type 1 Port Hinterland Complex for Phases 2-3 at Pyeongtaek and Dangjin Ports is the first project solely undertaken by Pyeongtaek Port Authority. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on the 25th of last month, with a completion target set for December 2027.
Pyeongtaek Port Authority expects that if the project proceeds smoothly, it will secure competitiveness through the development of port infrastructure at Pyeongtaek Port and inject vitality into the local economy.
