Limited Edition G-Class Collaboration with Moncler Unveiled
Mercedes-Benz Korea unveiled the second-generation fully redesigned high-performance 2-door coupe, the 'Mercedes-AMG GT,' for the first time in Korea, representing 'Performance Luxury.' The 'Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe' and the limited edition ‘Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+ Edition 1’ also made their domestic debuts. The 'G-Class Past II Future,' created in collaboration with fashion brand Moncler, also attracted attention.
On the 3rd, Benz Korea introduced 15 top-tier vehicles and the premium personalized vehicle customization program 'MANUFAKTUR' at the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. This move is part of the plan to offer a more diverse product portfolio and luxury brand experience to domestic customers this year, aiming to further strengthen the brand’s foundation of luxury status.
Matthias Bechtel, CEO of Benz Korea, stated, "Mercedes-Benz’s core value, which has led the automotive industry through continuous innovation for over 140 years, is to create the cars that customers dream of." He added, "The top-tier vehicles and the MANUFAKTUR program showcased at this motor show are the results of Mercedes-Benz’s efforts to meet the high expectations of domestic customers."
The Mercedes-AMG GT embodies motorsport DNA, showcasing the essence of a top-tier sports car. It features powerful performance combined with stylish design. Among the new AMG GT lineup, the GT 55 4MATIC+ will be introduced first, equipped with a 4.0ℓ V8 biturbo engine (M177) and AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9-speed transmission, delivering a powerful output of 476 horsepower. The maximum torque matches that of the GT R model, which delivered the strongest performance in the first-generation GT lineup, at 700Nm. It will be launched next month with a price of 205.6 million KRW.
The GT 63 S E Performance, scheduled for release in the second half of this year, features a high-performance hybrid system combining a 4.0ℓ V8 biturbo engine and an electric motor. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, boasting the fastest acceleration among mass-produced AMG vehicles. It also includes an AMG high-performance battery with a new cooling module based on Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 racing car technology.
Benz Korea also unveiled the high-performance Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe, combining style and driving performance, for the first time in Korea. It features elegant design continuing the tradition of Mercedes-Benz dream cars, balanced with AMG’s dynamic yet stable driving performance and the latest technology. Benz Korea announced that this core model representing AMG’s new coupe lineup is scheduled for release in the second half of this year.
There is also the limited edition Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+ Edition 1. It offers unique charm by applying differentiated interior and exterior design elements and materials to the AMG E-Class. The AMG Night Package, which finishes exterior elements including the AMG-exclusive front grille in black, leaves a strong impression, while the AMG Carbon Exterior Package, featuring carbon fiber side mirrors and rear spoiler, adds a sporty touch.
The interior highlights a striking contrast of black and yellow colors. The 'Edition 1' lettering engraved on the front headrests, door sills, center console, floor mats, and wheels emphasizes the identity of this limited model. It will be sold in Korea this month in a limited quantity of 10 units, priced at 160.8 million KRW.
The G-Class Past II Future, created in collaboration with Moncler, was also showcased at the Seoul Mobility Show. It reinterprets the 1990s style in a modern way, expressing the G-Class as a timeless brand icon. The exterior features a green and gray two-tone color scheme with black finishing on window frames, wheels, and exterior protective strips, adding detailed touches. Notably, the exterior protective strip running across the side of the vehicle is inscribed with the motto of this collaboration. The interior applies the signature tartan check pattern introduced in the original 1979 G-Class, and the center console is engraved with the limited edition model number such as 'ONE OF 20,' enhancing its collectible value.
The collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Moncler is the second following the 2023 show car 'Project Mondo G.' The G-Class Past II Future will be limited to 20 units worldwide.
Benz Korea also introduced MANUFAKTUR, the brand’s exclusive premium personalized vehicle customization program. MANUFAKTUR offers differentiated design options for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, allowing customers to select special exterior colors and high-quality interior materials according to their preferences. It is applied mainly to flagship models representing top-tier vehicles such as the S-Class, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach, and G-Class, providing a world of special colors, materials, and handcrafted finishes.
