The Department of Youth Counseling and Lifelong Education at Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) recently announced that it conducted a field trip to the Hwasun Youth Center in Jeonnam, a related institution in the field.
This visit was part of the University's Innovation Support Project field trip program. Participants spent time touring the center's facilities and holding a meeting with staff to gain a comprehensive understanding of the center's operations.
The youth center, a newly constructed facility completed in July 2023, runs programs such as the Youth Operation Committee, Youth Participation Committee, and various club activities. It is equipped with spaces for youth, including a karaoke room, play zone (games), party room, climbing room, and book cafe.
A representative from Gwangju University stated, "Through this field trip, students were able to learn about effective space utilization in youth centers as well as the functions and roles of such centers," and added, "We plan to further strengthen the organic connection between the university and related institutions through future collaborative projects."
