Applications Accepted from April 10 to 20
Yangsan City, Gyeongnam is recruiting the first round of participants for the "Daily Life Off, On to Yangsan" one-month travel program in Yangsan from April 10 to April 20.
"Daily Life Off, On to Yangsan" is a project under the Gyeongnam One-Month Living initiative, which aims to promote local tourism and revitalize the regional economy by encouraging visitors to experience Yangsan like locals rather than just passing through as tourists. Participants can freely travel in Yangsan for 5 to 30 days, sharing their experiences on personal social media, blogs, or YouTube to promote Yangsan, and in return, receive travel expense support.
The first round is open to non-Gyeongnam residents aged 19 or older who plan to travel to Yangsan between May 1 and June 30. Selected participants will receive support for accommodation (70,000 KRW per day), experience fees (70,000?100,000 KRW per person), and insurance (20,000 KRW per person) within actual cost limits.
Participants will be selected three times a year using the same process. Applicants can submit their application forms via Gyeongnam Baro Service, email, or mail.
This year, the accommodation support has been increased from 50,000 KRW to 70,000 KRW, and insurance coverage has been newly introduced to expand the range of support. In addition, to encourage more foreign participation, foreign nationals and overseas Koreans will be given priority selection and can apply at any time, not limited to the recruitment period.
An official from Yangsan City said, "We hope many people interested in the lifestyle-oriented local tourism trend will participate in the one-month travel program in Yangsan," and added, "We look forward to our city’s tourism resources being widely promoted through participants’ personal social media."
