Introduction of "Hazardous Product Sales Blocking" Function
in 17 Small and Medium Distribution Logistics Centers and 21,000 Small Supermarkets
The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 3rd that it has signed a "Business Agreement to Block the Sale of Hazardous Products" with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This agreement was established to support the establishment of "safe food" for end consumers by blocking the distribution of hazardous products through the linkage between the systems of 17 small and medium distribution logistics centers nationwide, 21,000 small supermarkets using these centers, and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Until now, small and medium distribution logistics centers had difficulties blocking the distribution of hazardous products due to insufficient information about such products, but through this agreement, the Small Enterprise and Market Service's digital integrated logistics system and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry's hazardous product sales blocking system will be linked to provide real-time information on hazardous products, enabling the blocking of their distribution.
Through this, small supermarkets receiving supplies from the small and medium distribution logistics centers will secure reliability as stores selling safe products, and end consumers using these small supermarkets are expected to be provided with safe food. The Small Enterprise and Market Service plans to start with 17 regional logistics centers this year and expand the application of hazardous product sales blocking to more centers annually.
Park Seong-hyo, Director of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, said, "Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we plan to continuously support the creation of a sound product distribution and consumption culture and help small business stores become trusted stores."
