Nationwide Gapho Emergency Alert on the Day of the Ruling
'D-1' Pro- and Anti-Impeachment Camps Prepare for All-Out Rallies
On the 3rd, one day before the impeachment ruling of President Yoon Suk-yeol, the police issued an 'Eulho Emergency Alert.'

According to the police, the National Police Agency issued the second-highest level of emergency alert, the Eulho Emergency Alert, in Seoul starting at 9 a.m. that day. On the day of the ruling, the highest level of emergency duty system, the 'Gapho Emergency Alert,' which allows 100% police force mobilization, will be issued nationwide.
The police will mobilize about 14,000 personnel from 210 riot police units nationwide, criminal riot police units, and dialogue police on the day of the ruling. About 30 police special forces will also be deployed to prepare for terrorism or drone attacks. Riot police units will also be deployed to the National Assembly, Hannam-dong Presidential Residence, Yongsan Presidential Office, foreign embassies, the Prime Minister's official residence, and major media outlets.
The pro- and anti-impeachment camps will hold rallies around the Constitutional Court to wage a final all-out battle. The Yoon Suk-yeol Immediate Resignation and Social Reform Emergency Action (Emergency Action), which calls for President Yoon's dismissal, will hold a 'Final Rally' at around 7 p.m. in front of Exit 6 of Anguk Station. After the rally, they plan to march from Dongsipjagak of Gyeongbokgung Palace through Sejong-daero, Jonggak Station, and Anguk-dong intersection to the Constitutional Court. At the same time, a march will proceed from Gangnam Station through Gyodae Station and Seocho Station to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. After the rally, Emergency Action will begin an overnight sit-in in front of Anguk Station and watch the live broadcast of the impeachment ruling with participants on the morning of the 4th.
The anti-impeachment camp, including the Liberty Unification Party, will hold rallies at around 1 p.m. in front of the Cheondogyo Suun Hall in Jongno-gu, around 2 p.m. in front of the Volvo Building near the Hannam-dong Presidential Residence, and around 8 p.m. in front of Dongwha Duty Free Shop in Gwanghwamun. About 50 anti-impeachment supporters have been holding an overnight sit-in in front of Cheondogyo Suun Hall since the previous day. They plan to continue the overnight sit-in on the day as well.
On the day of the impeachment ruling, the Korea Righting Movement Headquarters (Daegukbon), led by Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church, will hold a rally at around 10 a.m. in front of Dongwha Duty Free Shop, and the Presidential National Defense Lawyers, mainly supporters of President Yoon, will hold a rally near the Yongsan Presidential Office at around 10 a.m.
