Jeon Heekyung, Director of Chungnam Research Institute, Holds Meeting with 15 Mayors and County Governors

Chungnam Research Institute President Jeon Heekyung announced on the 3rd that she will hold meetings with mayors and county governors in the province to share local issues and explore policy sites.

This meeting is being held to invigorate the operation of the "City and County Policy Cooperation Group," a representative activity of field-oriented research promoted by Chungnam Research Institute.

President Jeon held a meeting with Gongju Mayor Choi Wonchul right after taking office in March. The previous day, she visited Boryeong Mayor Kim Dongil to discuss response measures for local pending projects.

Chungnam Research Institute is currently conducting various studies, including "Promotion of Boryeong City as a UNDRR (United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction Northeast Asia Office) Resilience Hub City" and "Establishment of a Basic Plan for the Creation of the West Coast CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) Hub Cluster."

President Jeon is scheduled to visit Geumsan County on the 4th and Gyeryong City on the 15th, as well as all 15 cities and counties in the province.

President Jeon stated, "Chungnam Research Institute is a field-oriented policy research institute rooted in the region, creating and blossoming achievements in provincial, city, and county policy tasks. This meeting with mayors and county governors will serve as a venue for communication and cooperation, sharing the region's difficulties and producing even better research outcomes to build a stronger Chungnam."
