Supporting Successful Global Expansion in Partnership with Meta
Funding platform Wadiz will launch a service next month to help innovative domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) enter the U.S. market. By posting projects in the same way as on Wadiz, sales through crowdfunding targeting global customers will be possible. To support effective overseas expansion, Wadiz has also partnered with global tech company Meta.
On the 3rd, Wadiz announced that the global service will officially start on the 7th of next month. Currently, companies that want to showcase their products in overseas markets are being recruited through this service. The features of the Wadiz global service include AI-based automatic English translation, setting shipping countries targeting 200 countries worldwide, matching with official overseas shipping partners, and targeted advertising for global supporters. Payment and customer service for overseas customers are also being prepared. The primary target is the Americas. The plan is to discover and support promising SMEs focusing on K-Food, K-Beauty, and K-Fandom, which have demand locally.

To this end, a strategic partnership was also formed with Meta. The two companies agreed to collaborate on enhancing global targeted advertising by combining Wadiz’s advertising platform with Meta’s social media, supporting the successful overseas market entry of domestic brands through crowdfunding.
Wadiz has also supported targeted advertising marketing in collaboration with Meta domestically. Last year, 98% of makers who achieved funding of over 50 million KRW utilized targeted advertising from the Wadiz Biz Center and received substantial assistance. This year, for domestic brands aiming at overseas markets, they plan to cooperate in various ways including ▲joint investment to operate country-specific targeted ads and improve campaign efficiency ▲collaborative programs to achieve goals ▲support for educational seminars. Shin Hye-sung, CEO of Wadiz, said, "Through collaboration with Meta, we plan to strengthen sophisticated targeted advertising strategies and marketing support so that domestic startups and small brands can successfully establish themselves in the global market."
Wadiz plans to initially target the U.S. market and then, based on this, discover promising brands mainly in East Asia such as Japan and China, build an innovative product lineup, and establish itself as a leading crowdfunding platform representing Asia in the global market. In fact, the global crowdfunding market is expected to steadily grow, making the export outlook positive. According to global market research firm Polaris Market Research (PMR), the global crowdfunding market size is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 16.1% from approximately 27 trillion KRW in 2023 to nearly 100 trillion KRW by 2032. CEO Shin said, "This year will be a leap forward to showcase the competitiveness of K-Funding by entering overseas markets together with domestic promising SMEs and startups."
