Gyeonggi Province is operating the ‘Outstanding Talent Recommendation System’ for high school graduates and prospective graduates.
The Outstanding Talent Recommendation System is a program that selects probationary employees from students who have graduated or are expected to graduate from high schools or technical schools within the province and have met the requirements for completing courses in management and finance.
In 2023, Gyeonggi Province became the first local government nationwide to introduce the ‘Outstanding Talent Recommendation System’.
Graduates and prospective graduates who wish to apply can do so with a recommendation from their school principal. The submission period for recommendation letters is from July 21 to 24. After written exams in Korean, English, and Korean History, as well as interviews, three final candidates will be selected. Successful candidates will undergo a probationary period working at Gyeonggi Provincial Government and its affiliated institutions, and after evaluation, they will be appointed as Grade 9 administrative public officials.
Lee Jeong-hwa, Director of the Personnel Department of Gyeonggi Province, said, "I hope that outstanding talents who have diligently studied the school curriculum will boldly challenge public service regardless of their academic background and fully demonstrate their capabilities." She added, "The Outstanding Talent Recommendation System will be the ‘key to youth entering public service’ in Gyeonggi Province."
