Spring at Gyeonggi-do Libraries... A Festival of a Thousand Reading Cultures

Gyeonggi Province is preparing around 1,000 reading culture events, both large and small, in 31 cities and counties across the province to celebrate Library Week.

On the occasion of the 3rd Library Day (12th) and the 61st Library Week (12th?18th), Gyeonggi Province announced on the 2nd that a total of 1,003 reading culture events will be held at 306 public libraries throughout the province under the theme "Planting the Seeds of Dreams, Buried in Libraries."

This year’s events are designed to establish libraries not just as simple book lending spaces but as complex cultural spaces where dreams grow and culture is experienced. The programs include various activities such as lectures and book talks by famous authors, book scent poetry experiences, "I am also a poet," and 1-night 2-day reading camps.

On the 12th, Gyeonggi Province will first operate the "Gyeonggi Outdoor Library Opening and Chameleon Show with Families" at the Peace Square of the Northern Government Complex in Uijeongbu City.
