Jang Jaehyuk, Vice Governor of Hapcheon, Conducts On-Site Inspection for Summer Natural Disaster Preparedness

Proactive Response to Localized Heavy Rainfall and Unpredictable Weather Conditions

Hapcheon County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 3rd that it had conducted on-site inspections of natural disaster risk improvement zones and disaster prevention facilities to prepare in advance for natural disasters during the summer season.


This inspection was organized as a proactive response to increasingly frequent localized heavy rainfall and unpredictable weather conditions caused by climate change.

The inspection targeted two locations: the relatively large natural disaster risk improvement zone in Gahyeon-ri, Cheongdeok-myeon, and the Ichaek drainage station in Geontae-ri, Ssangchaek-myeon. On site, the team focused on checking the progress of disaster prevention measures, the availability of flood control materials, and the operational status of key facilities.


Deputy County Governor Jang Jaehyuk stated, "With the understanding that prevention is the best response, we are strengthening pre-inspections of areas at risk of disasters," adding, "Through this inspection, we will immediately address any shortcomings and complete all necessary measures before the rainy season to perfectly protect the lives and property of our residents."
