On the 2nd, Jung Chulwon, the elected governor of Damyang County, stated, "The courageous choice of the residents will open a new future for Damyang," and added, "I will make Damyang the most livable region in the country."

Through his victory speech on this day, Jung expressed, "I bow my head in deep gratitude for giving a chance to a grassroots politician who has lived his whole life in Damyang to serve the people anew," emphasizing his commitment.

He continued, "The wise choice of the residents has made me the first head of a local government from the Cho Kuk Innovation Party," and declared, "Together with the 12 honorary constituency members of the National Assembly from the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, I will make Damyang a new model for local autonomy."

He further pledged, "As promised during the campaign, I will faithfully complete the pledges of the previous governor and, for the millennium future of Damyang, lay the foundation for development 'with greater honesty, greater thoroughness, and stronger principles.'"

He also said, "Damyang will become the center of change. Honam politics will change, and the politics of the Republic of Korea will transform," adding, "I will protect the pride of Damyang residents."

Meanwhile, Jung also expressed his gratitude and consolation to candidate Lee Jaejong, Democratic Party members, and supporters who engaged in a fair competition for the development of Damyang during the election period, and requested, "I ask you to continue to join hands for the progress of Damyang in the future."
