Israel reportedly conducted an airstrike on a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 19 deaths.
According to Yonhap News and major international media on the 2nd, the civil defense forces in the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas, reported that a UN building in the Jabalia area in northern Gaza was attacked by Israel, killing 19 people. However, the death toll was provided by Hamas.
In this regard, the Israeli military also issued a statement officially confirming that it conducted an airstrike on a command and control center in the Jabalia area where Hamas operatives were hiding. The Israeli military explained, "This complex was used by Hamas's Jabalia battalion to plan terrorist attacks targeting Israeli civilians and military."
Since resuming airstrikes on the Gaza Strip last month, the Israeli military has continued its operation to eliminate Hamas, including deploying ground forces.
