Donation Relay Continues in Pohang Region
Samil Family Donates 100 Million Won, Local Organizations Join to Support Wildfire Victims

Many organizations and groups in the Pohang region are actively participating in donation activities to help wildfire victims.


On the 2nd, Pohang City held a donation ceremony to support wildfire victims at the City Hall's External Cooperation Office.

At the ceremony, Samil Family (Vice Chairman Kang Jeho) donated 100 million won, Pohang City Development Advisory Council (Chairman Hwang Jinil) donated 10 million won, Guryongpo-eup Development Advisory Committee (Chairman Ahn Juseok) donated 3 million won, and Gyeongbuk Journalists Buddhist Association (Chairman Cho Inho) donated 3 million won.

Additionally, Pohang Roots Association and Senior Association (Chairman Kim Jangsu) donated 5 million won, Munsusa Temple Believers Association (Chairman Kim Gwangseok) donated 10 million won, Jangnyang-dong Autonomous Organization Council (Chairman Kim Gilhyeon) donated 4 million won, and Jangnyang-dong Development Advisory Committee (Chairman Kim Gyeonghwan) donated 2 million won.


On the same day, Korea Suseok Association (Chairman Kim Myeongjo) and Pohang North and South Autonomous Crime Prevention Unit (Leaders Lee Heedo and Lee Sangdo) each donated 3 million won to support wildfire-affected areas in Gyeongbuk, practicing warm sharing.


In addition, Cosmax donated 3,000 sets of basic cosmetics worth 48 million won to Cheongsong, further supporting neighbors in need.


Mayor Lee Kangdeok said, "I sincerely thank everyone who has gathered their warm hearts to help neighbors suffering from wildfire damage," and added, "Pohang City will do its utmost to actively support affected residents so they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible and work together for mutual prosperity."
