Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) conducted an emergency response drill on the 2nd at the Yongsan Vehicle Depot in Dong-gu, Gwangju, to improve rapid initial response and accident management capabilities in case of a disaster.

The drill, which simulated a subway train derailment, was carried out in a realistic manner covering the entire accident response process from initial situation reporting to derailment handling, signal normalization, and overhead line restoration, thereby enhancing employees' ability to respond to unusual situations.

In particular, President Cho Ikmun personally supervised the drill on site, checking and strengthening the duties and roles of each technical department in the event of an accident, and reinforcing cooperation among teams. This created an atmosphere similar to an actual emergency, further enhancing the corporation's disaster response capabilities.

President Cho Ikmun said, "We are thoroughly preparing for unexpected disasters through realistic drills," adding, "We will continue to do our best to provide safe and reliable transportation services for citizens."
