Namdojangteo, the representative online shopping mall of Jeollanam-do (CEO Kim Kyungho), received the Grand Prize in the Agricultural and Specialty Products Shopping Mall category at the '2025 New York Festival Korea-National Brand Awards' ceremony held at Lotte Hotel Seoul on the 2nd.

Namdojangteo, which was established in December 2022 as a foundation funded by Jeollanam-do, has established itself as a public comprehensive distribution platform contributing to the income growth of farmers, fishermen, and small business owners within just two years of its launch, being recognized for creating a virtuous distribution ecosystem.

As of the end of last year, there were 2,061 partner companies, 910,000 members, and sales reached 48.9 billion KRW. Notably, during the New Year's special event in January, in collaboration with Jeollanam-do, cities and counties, and related organizations, discounts of up to 50% were offered, resulting in sales of 10 billion KRW.

In addition, Namdojangteo has strengthened support for partner companies, small business owners, and customers by securing 650 million KRW in national funding, including being the only local government shopping mall in the country selected for a Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries public contest project, as well as being selected for the Small and Medium Business Administration's local product hall entry contest project.

CEO Kim Kyungho stated, "I am pleased that Jeollanam-do's support policies and the efforts of Namdojangteo have borne fruit through this award," and added, "Going forward, Namdojangteo will continue to take pride as a leading agricultural and specialty products shopping mall in Korea and do our best to expand sales channels and strengthen the competitiveness of excellent agricultural and specialty products produced in Jeollanam-do."

Meanwhile, Namdojangteo Foundation has been receiving positive feedback from partner companies and consumers since introducing an integrated shopping mall system in March, improving order and payment convenience, shortening delivery times, and enabling effective data management.
