Equipped with a Six-Lane Pool, Fitness Center, and More

Hongseong Bandabi Swimming Pool Opens..."Supporting Healthy Lives of Residents" Hongseong Bandabi Swimming Pool officially opened with an inauguration ceremony and began full-scale operation.

The Hongseong Bandabi Swimming Pool, a sports facility built by Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province to allow people with and without disabilities to enjoy sports together, has officially opened and begun full-scale operations.

The county announced that on the afternoon of the 2nd, an opening ceremony for the Hongseong Bandabi Swimming Pool was held at Sohyang-ri, Hongseong-eup, with the attendance of Hongseong County Governor Lee Yongrok, County Council Chairman Kim Deokbae, council members, heads of various organizations, athletes, and local residents.

The Hongseong Bandabi Swimming Pool is a facility accessible to both people with and without disabilities. After its completion in November last year, the pool underwent a one-month trial operation in March this year to inspect facility safety and improve services, ensuring optimal conditions before officially opening.

Located on a 2,981-square-meter site near the Hongseong County Disabled Sports Center in Sohyang-ri, Hongseong-eup, the swimming pool consists of one basement level and two above-ground floors. The basement includes amenities such as a fitness center, multipurpose room, and lounge.

The first floor features a 25-meter pool with six lanes (four general lanes and four rehabilitation lanes for people with disabilities), while the second floor houses an air conditioning room, outdoor garden, and other various facilities. Outside, there are four parking lots that can accommodate about 250 vehicles simultaneously.

Governor Lee Yongrok stated, "I hope the Hongseong Bandabi Swimming Pool becomes a place that supports a healthy life and offers rich cultural experiences for our residents," and added, "We will continue to conduct regular inspections and improvements to provide safer and better services for all users."
