for Rural Experience Program
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province will launch the 'Five Senses Satisfaction Rural Experience Learning' program starting from the 4th.
According to the city on the 2nd, this rural experience learning program is designed to help future generations understand the importance of agriculture and to provide opportunities to experience nature and rural life.

This program targets daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary, middle, and high schools. This year, a total of 1,000 students from 17 schools in Jeongeup and Jeonju areas are expected to participate.
The city will subsidize 15,000 won per student to reduce the financial burden and enable more students to participate.
The experiences will take place at 12 unique rural experience farms in the region. Programs at ostrich farms, aloe farms, and others focus on hands-on activities such as ostrich egg crafts, aloe soap making, and cooking experiences.
Students will have the opportunity to interact closely with crops and animals, experiencing the real value of agriculture that cannot be learned in the classroom.
The city expects this program to provide students with an educational opportunity to realize the importance of nature and agriculture. In particular, parents and teachers have high expectations as students can develop creativity and sensitivity through direct experiences of rural life.
Kim Wonsim, head of the Rural Support Division, said, "The future of agriculture begins with children's interest," adding, "We will expand various programs so that students can truly appreciate the value of agriculture through field-oriented experiences in nature."
