Purchasing Products from Local Companies Facing Difficulties
Through the "Labor-Management Joint Fund"
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) announced on the 2nd that it participated in the "Buy a Pair of Shoes from Busan" campaign promoted by Busan City by purchasing products from the local shoe manufacturer "Treksta" as welfare items for its employees.
Busan Bank and the Busan Bank Labor Union purchased products from the local company Treksta through the "Labor-Management Joint Fund" and distributed them to all employees, aiming not only to improve employee welfare but also to support the Busan local shoe industry.
This is not the first time that Busan Bank's labor and management have come together for a community contribution activity.
Busan Bank and the Labor Union jointly hold the "Employee Hope Day" every year and donate the proceeds to the local community. They also support neighbors in need through the "Collecting the Last Digit of Employee Salaries" campaign. Since 2019, they have established the "Busan-style Social Solidarity Fund" to support local small business owners and continue various social contribution activities.
Busan Bank was recognized for such cooperation between labor and management and community contributions, and was selected as an "Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company" by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2024.
Kim Byungki, Head of the Management Support Group at Busan Bank, said, "We hope that participating in this campaign will help strengthen the competitiveness of local companies, even if only in a small way," and added, "We will continue to work hard to revitalize the local economy through labor-management cooperation."
