Dongjak-gu Holds Opening Ceremony on the 1st and Begins Official Operation
Dongjak Park Golf Course Opens with 9 Holes on a 6,151㎡ Site
Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 2nd that it officially opened a dedicated park golf facility, which is gaining popularity as a lifestyle sport, on the 1st. Located near Banpocheon (257 Hyeonchung-ro, exits 2 and 5 of Dongjak Station), the 'Dongjak Park Golf Course' is a 9-hole facility (4 par 3s, 4 par 4s, and 1 par 5) built on a total area of 6,151㎡.

After a trial operation until last month, it will be open from this month until the end of November (closed on Mondays). It operates on a 2-hour four-shift system from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday through Sunday (with a capacity of 36 people per shift for simultaneous entry and exit). Those who wish to use the facility must apply in advance through the Seoul public reservation system at least one week prior, and the fee is 2,000 KRW per resident of the district (4,000 KRW for residents of other districts).
On the 1st, the district held an opening ceremony attended by about 300 people, including Mayor Park Il-ha, local National Assembly, city, and district council members, the sports association, and club members. On this day, Mayor Park received a plaque of appreciation from the Dongjak Park Golf Association.
Mayor Park Il-ha said, “The newly opened Dongjak Park Golf Course has excellent accessibility and will become a notable venue not only for our district but also for nearby club members,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen the infrastructure for lifestyle sports to provide vibrant leisure activities for our residents.”
