Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it held the 2025 Anti-Corruption and Integrity Practice Pledge Ceremony to realize trustworthy administration and foster a clean public service environment.
The pledge ceremony, held on the 1st at the Theme Video Hall in Hampyeong Expo Park, was attended by more than 270 people, including public officials and residents, led by County Governor Lee Sangik. The event was organized to prevent corruption in the public sector and to establish an administration trusted by the citizens through integrity.
During the event, a pledge was read aloud to create a culture of integrity among public officials. The participants reaffirmed their commitment by reciting the pledge together, which stated, "As public officials, we will abide by the law and principles and prevent corruption to build an honest and clean public sector."
Last year, Hampyeong County identified and implemented eight new integrity initiatives, including ▲ integrity consulting with mentors ▲ operation of the Integrity Empathy Guardians group ▲ establishment of fair recruitment regulations for non-public officials ▲ and distribution of integrity guidelines to civil petitioners. This year, the county plans to promote a variety of integrity policies focusing on a total of 23 detailed initiatives.
Governor Lee Sangik emphasized, "Integrity is the basic virtue that every public official must possess and the most important value in building trust with the citizens. I hope that, taking this pledge ceremony as an opportunity, all public officials will take the lead in establishing a culture of integrity within the organization."
