Yangsan City English Library in Gyeongnam has revamped and is now operating an experiential fairy tale storytelling program for infants and children (ages 4 to 8) in the area.
The "experiential fairy tale storytelling" program combines fairy tale narration with virtual reality technology, allowing children to become the main characters in the story and enjoy the narrative within the screen's fairy tale background.
This year, the library has replaced its outdated equipment with new devices and expanded the English-language content, which is expected to greatly enhance young children's familiarity and affinity with English reading.
In April, the fairy tale content "Dog and Cat" can be experienced 20 times a week, four days a week. The content is updated with new stories every one to two weeks. Those who wish to participate can apply in advance through the Yangsan City Library website, where they can also check available days and times for participation.
