Clovaine Makes Strides in the Overseas Collaboration Platform Market

Clovaine Makes Strides in the Overseas Collaboration Platform Market

Clovine, a cloud-based project management solution company, announced on the 2nd that it is rapidly gaining presence in the global collaboration platform market.

As of the end of last year, the number of overseas members exceeded 100,000, and an additional 25,000 members joined in just the first quarter, with expectations of increasing by more than 100,000 throughout this year alone. This figure surpasses the current domestic membership (150,000), indicating that the overseas segment is becoming the core of the entire user base.

Clovine's global growth accelerated after receiving an award from the U.S. software evaluation platform 'Capterra,' and it is noteworthy that this growth was achieved solely through word of mouth without any separate marketing.

Jungwon Hong, CEO of Clovine, emphasized, "We targeted the global market by releasing the English version first, not the Korean version," adding, "A user-friendly interface and data-driven technology were key factors driving word of mouth."

Through strategic partnerships with MS and KT, Clovine plans to differentiate its technology by integrating 'Copilot.' Another pillar of Clovine's steep growth is its strategic partnerships with Korea Microsoft (MS) and KT. In particular, it is incorporating generative AI technology based on Microsoft Azure and promoting operational efficiency of cloud-based collaboration tools.

This partnership aims for full integration with MS Teams and Office 365 by 2026, and recently, the integration of MS's AI agent service 'Copilot' has begun in earnest, further enhancing service competitiveness.

This aligns with Microsoft's emphasized next-generation work environment strategy. Satya Nadella, MS CEO, who recently visited Korea, stated at the 'Microsoft AI Tour in Seoul' event, "AI is rapidly transforming daily life and work practices in Korea," and added, "We see Korean companies in various industries such as distribution, energy, and telecommunications adopting AI to create new opportunities."

At this event, CEO Nadella unveiled two types of 'AI agents' applied with AI-based inference models, indicating a strategy to deeply integrate AI functions across MS collaboration tools.

This is in line with Clovine's direction to realize work automation through Copilot. Aiming to strengthen the status of 'K-solution' in the SaaS market, Clovine's total number of subscribers, which was about 37,600 in the early days of service in 2021, has now increased more than sixfold to 260,000. Based on 76,000 project hosts, Clovine is charting an independent growth trajectory in the SaaS-type project management platform market.

Compared to global competitors, Clovine's rapid feature updates, borderless UI/UX design, and AI-based work efficiency technologies are elevating it as a leading 'Made in Korea' SaaS solution.

If the current trend continues, Clovine is expected to establish itself as a true global SaaS platform by the end of 2025, with a total user base of 350,000, including more than 200,000 overseas users.
