Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has announced a large-scale "Busan Love Customer Appreciation Festival," featuring unprecedented discount events and various promotions.

From April 4 to 13, Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch will hold a ten-day customer appreciation event with discount sales and special activities.


In collaboration with 50 brands that have been with the Busan Main Branch for 30 years, the store will offer additional discounts, complimentary gifts, and extra benefits such as restaurant vouchers.


There will be limited sales of special items priced at 3,000 won, recreating prices from 30 years ago, including scarves, orange sets, bananas, umbrellas, snacks, and bulgogi, as well as a variety of special deals in the 30,000 won range.


In partnership with leading domestic fashion companies Samsung C&T and Daehyun, the store will offer additional discounts on new products and complimentary gifts, providing customers with the opportunity to purchase spring and summer items at even lower prices.


There will also be discount events on products featuring the number 30. For example, Ballantine's 30-Year-Old Whisky will be offered at a 100,000 won discount from the regular price, while Taylor 30-Year and Dow 30-Year will be sold at 30% off the regular price.


During the event period, customers who make purchases will receive a nostalgic snack gift set created in collaboration with Lotte Wellfood, and there will be various events such as celebrity fan signing sessions.


An event will also be held to collect customer stories about their 30-year memories with the Busan Main Branch, with selected stories and photos displayed on the store's outdoor electronic billboards. Additionally, customers born in 1995, the same year as the store's opening, will receive extra gifts.


To celebrate the next 30 years, special benefits will be offered to engaged couples who make purchases above a certain amount, including VIP perks.


This 30th anniversary event will also involve the Seomyeon Merchants Association and the Medical Street Medical Tourism Association, aiming to revitalize the Seomyeon commercial district. Major shops in Seomyeon will offer discounts during the event period, and customers using Seomyeon stores will receive free parking at the department store.


Additionally, in collaboration with KT&G Sangsangmadang, a complex cultural space, a "Food Truck Market" and a "Street Flea Market" event featuring performances will be held together on Saturday, April 12.


Lotte affiliates such as Lotte Hotel Busan, Lotte Cinema, and Lotte Duty Free will also run joint discount promotions during this period. In particular, customers who spend over 100,000 won at Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch during the event will receive additional discounts at Lotte Hotel Busan's dining outlets, and up to 15% off room rates for reservations made during the period.


First opened in December 1995, Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch boasted a total floor area of 158,000 square meters, making it the largest in Korea at the time and serving as a catalyst for the revitalization of the Seomyeon commercial district.


Notably, before opening, the store created over 5,000 jobs, greatly contributing to local employment. It also introduced the region's first complex cultural space, where shopping and leisure could be enjoyed together, bringing a new wave of change to the local retail industry.


In 2017, marking its 22nd anniversary, the store underwent a major renovation to compete with the rapidly emerging Centum commercial district, aiming for a new leap forward in Seomyeon.


The store expanded its area from 158,000 to 194,000 square meters and introduced more than 150 new brands. During the two-year expansion, over 300,000 local construction workers were employed, and more than 1,000 new jobs were created.


Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch is responding to fast-changing consumer trends by strengthening its pop-up store offerings and introducing new brands, ushering in a second golden age for the Seomyeon commercial district.
