Samjong KPMG Launches Customized Online Training Content for Outside Directors and Audit Committee Members

Dialogue with Leading Experts in Accounting, Finance, and Law

Samjong KPMG announced on the 2nd that it has launched customized online educational content for corporate outside directors and audit committee members.

Titled "Asking Outside Directors," this content features experts from Samjong KPMG's Audit Committee Support Center (ACI) engaging in discussions with scholars in accounting, finance, and law. It is designed to help outside directors and audit committee members serving on boards easily understand and grasp essential matters they must know. Additionally, it provides opportunities to share their experiences.

The educational series consists of four episodes: ▲ Matters audit committees should pay attention to ▲ Precautions for outside directors related to value-up ▲ Increased responsibilities and duties of outside directors and how to respond to them ▲ Concerns and preparations of newly appointed audit committee members. The first episode, released this time, was conducted by Kim Min-gyu, leader of Samjong KPMG’s Audit Committee Support Center, and Lee Man-woo, advisory professor (emeritus professor at Korea University Business School).

The videos will be sequentially released from April to May on Samjong KPMG’s official YouTube channel and the audit committee education online platform, "Samjong Academy."

Leader Kim Min-gyu stated, "For the board of directors, the highest decision-making body in company management, to make the best decisions, establishing the functions of outside directors and audit committee members is essential," adding, "Along with this video series, the Audit Committee Support Center will continue to support enhancing the status and roles of outside directors and audit committee members to strengthen accounting transparency and sound corporate governance."
