Introduction of Fixed Discounts by Mobile Plan Tiers
Expansion of Bundled Lines from 7 to 10
Bundling Benefits Also Applied to Internet Plans Specialized for Single-Person Households
KT announced on the 2nd that it will expand and reorganize the 'Family Connection Even When Living Separately' service for single-person households. The key points of this reorganization are the introduction of fixed discounts by mobile plan tiers, an increase in the number of mobile lines eligible for bundling to 10, and the application of wireless bundling to the 'Single Internet Basic' plan.
In March, KT introduced the 'Family Connection Even When Living Separately' service, which increased the number of bundled internet and TV lines to up to 5 for households that split, along with enhanced discount benefits.
Previously, the products eligible for bundled discount benefits for single-person households were limited, and it was difficult to apply discounts when using low-cost plans. KT expects that more customers will receive additional discount benefits through this reorganization.
The newly introduced fixed discount applies according to mobile plan tiers (KRW 37,000, 61,000, and 77,000 per month), with discounts of KRW 3,000, 5,000, and 7,000 (including VAT) respectively. For example, if you use the KRW 61,000 monthly plan, a KRW 5,000 discount will be applied every month.
Reflecting the increasing trend of single-person households, the number of bundled lines has also been increased to a maximum of 10. Additionally, mobile bundling benefits have been added to the Single Internet Basic, an internet product specialized for single-person households, allowing customers to receive a monthly internet fee discount of KRW 5,500 along with mobile bundling discounts.
Kwon Hee-geun, Head of KT Marketing Innovation Division, said, "We have improved the structure of bundled products and provided additional discount benefits by reflecting the communication usage patterns and demands of the growing single-person households. We will continue to strengthen customer-centered products and services to provide practical communication cost savings."
