Jung Chulwon, candidate for Damyang County Governor from the Cho Guk Innovation Party, stated on the 1st, "I will repay the election campaigners, volunteers, supporters, and all county residents who have sent their encouragement and support with my victory, for their efforts toward a better Damyang."

On this day, Jung concluded the official 12-day campaign that began on the 20th, with his final rally held at 5 p.m. in front of Damyang Culture Center, joined by all campaigners, volunteers, and supporters.

The rally, held one day before the main vote, was attended by Kim Sunmin, acting leader of the Cho Guk Innovation Party, Hwang Myungpil, Supreme Council member, lawmakers Seo Wangjin, Shin Jangshik, and Kang Kyungsook, as well as co-heads of the election committee Seo Heewon, head of the Jeonnam Provincial Party, Jeong Dosang, head of the Jeonbuk Provincial Party, and other party members.

Jung emphasized, "These 12 days of campaigning were a period in which I could witness the passion of Damyang's residents for change and innovation," and added, "I will continue the original commitment I made to the martyrs at the National May 18th Democratic Cemetery on the first day of the campaign, to lay the foundation for Damyang of communication and harmony, and for a thousand-year Damyang."

Jung also said, "This long campaign period was a time to redraw and complete the blueprint for Damyang's development," and added, "I would like to once again express my gratitude to the volunteers, supporters, and residents who put aside their own work to participate in the campaign."
