Priority Use for Relief Supplies and Recovery Efforts
Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dongseob) recently donated 100 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross to support the recovery efforts in the Yeongnam region, which suffered the largest wildfire damage in history.

This donation will be used for emergency relief activities to aid disaster victims and restore affected areas. The corporation launched a fundraising campaign with the voluntary participation of its employees to share in the pain of the people and contribute to overcoming the national disaster.
On the 1st, at the corporation’s headquarters in Jung-gu, Ulsan, President Kim Dongseob delivered the 100 million KRW donation to Chae Jongsung, President of the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross, during a donation ceremony.
At the event, President Kim Dongseob stated, “I would like to express my condolences to the local residents who are suffering from the sudden and massive wildfire damage,” and added, “We hope that this donation, voluntarily raised by our employees, will be of some help to the victims.”
This donation will be primarily used to purchase relief supplies and support recovery efforts for disaster victims in regions such as Andong, Ulsan, Yeongdeok, Yeongyang, Uiseong, and Cheongsong.
Korea National Oil Corporation has actively participated in overcoming crises whenever national disasters occur, fulfilling its social responsibility as a public corporation, including donating funds for wildfire recovery along the East Coast in 2022.
