Korail Simultaneously Obtains International Standards for High-Speed Rail Maintenance Quality and Environment

KORAIL announced on the 1st that the Seoul Metropolitan Railroad Vehicle Maintenance Division has simultaneously obtained ISO9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The Seoul Metropolitan Division was highly evaluated for having an eco-friendly maintenance and quality management system covering the maintenance and overall operation of high-speed rail vehicles.

ISO9001 audits whether an organization's products and services meet quality requirements and are continuously managed. ISO14001 comprehensively evaluates environmental goal setting, resource management, and overall environmental improvement activities.
