The Korea Teachers' Credit Union has donated 100 million won to support wildfire damage relief efforts in the Yeongnam region.
On the 1st, the Credit Union announced that it had made this donation through the Community Chest of Korea.
They decided to provide emergency relief funds to aid in the restoration of major wildfire-affected areas and to stabilize the lives of disaster victims following large-scale wildfires that simultaneously broke out in Sancheong, Gyeongnam on the 21st of last month, as well as in Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, and Ulju, Ulsan.
Jung Gap-yoon, Chairman of the Korea Teachers' Credit Union, said, "We extend our deepest condolences to the disaster victims suffering from the sudden wildfires," adding, "We sincerely hope that safe rescue operations are carried out at the disaster sites and that everyone can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
