Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do will invite renowned musical director Yoo Heesung to the Jangseong Academy on the 3rd, where he will give a lecture titled "Understanding Musicals Made Easy."

Director Yoo is known for successfully leading major productions such as the musicals "The Last Empress," "Mozart," "Romeo and Juliet," as well as the play "Gone with the Wind." He has served as the executive director of the Seoul Performing Arts Company and as chairman of the Korea Musical Association. He continues to bridge the gap between arts education and the field today.
In this lecture, he plans to share fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from both on and off the stage, along with tips for audiences to enjoy musicals on a deeper level.
Launched in 1995, the Jangseong Academy is the world's longest-running open lecture program for residents. It takes place at 4 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of every month at the Small Theater of the Jangseong Culture and Arts Center. Anyone can participate, and the lectures are also available for live viewing on Jangseong County's YouTube channel. Lectures with consent for material sharing can be re-watched on the Jangseong County website and YouTube channel.
