'2025 Dongdaemun-gu Spring Flower Festival' to be held on the 5th-6th at Jangan Cherry Blossom Road

Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 1st that the "2025 Dongdaemun-gu Spring Flower Festival" will be held over two days, April 5-6, at Jangan 1 Waterfront Park and the Jangan Cherry Blossom Road area (Gunja Bridge to Ihwa Bridge).

"Jangan Cherry Blossom Road" is one of the district's representative walking trails, where in spring, the flower trees planted along both sides of the approximately 5km path form a "cherry blossom tunnel," making it a hidden cherry blossom spot in Seoul.

From March 26 to April 16, unique photo zones such as spring flower photo zones and MBTI photo zones, as well as nighttime landscape lighting, will be operated along Jangan Cherry Blossom Road.

On the first day of the festival, April 5, performances by local art groups and artists will take place. At 6 PM, a "fashion show" featuring clothing produced by local garment manufacturers will be held, followed by the official opening ceremony at 7 PM, along with congratulatory performances by the b-boy team Gambler Crew, singer CLASS:y, and singer Kim Yeon-ja.

On the second day of the festival, April 6, the "Turtle Marathon" for people with and without disabilities will be held from 10 AM, and in the evening, the film "Minari" will be screened in a barrier-free version (director Lee Isaac Chung, directed by Yoon Dan-bi) on an outdoor screen. This version has been re-edited for the visually and hearing impaired, providing audio description (narrated by actor Park Bo-gum) and subtitles.

During the festival, visitors can explore the charm and key policies of Dongdaemun-gu at various district promotion and experience booths set up throughout the venue, and also visit flea markets prepared by social economy enterprises, small business owners, and youth organizations based in Dongdaemun-gu.

Food booths and food trucks will also be available to satisfy hunger while strolling under the falling flower petals. Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "We hope everyone creates joyful memories at the Spring Flower Festival on Jangan Cherry Blossom Road."
