Traditional Culture Media Wall Space Renovated
Videos showcasing Korean cultural heritage such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Hanyangdoseong Fortress welcome travelers at Incheon International Airport. On the 1st, the National Palace Museum of Korea announced that, together with the National Heritage Promotion Agency and Incheon International Airport Corporation, they have renovated and unveiled the traditional culture media wall space installed in the arrival hall of Terminal 1 at Incheon International Airport.
The traditional culture media wall is a facility set up along approximately 150 meters of the arrival hall wall. Equipped with a light-emitting diode (LED) display capable of playing high-definition videos, airport users can watch the videos while moving along the moving walkway.
The newly unveiled videos are two pieces titled "Old Paths, Finding Myself" and "In Search of Shining Treasures." The former, highlighting national heritage, vividly captures major Seoul landmarks such as Namsan Mountain along the Hanyangdoseong Fortress path, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and the National Palace Museum of Korea. The latter, focusing on royal cultural heritage, recreates royal seals (Eobo) and Jongmyo ritual vessels in three dimensions. A museum official explained, "The museum used various effects such as golden sand, mist, and spray to express the dignity and mystery of the Joseon royal family through the royal artifacts in its collection."
