Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on the 1st that radiologic technologist Kim Chongmyung from the Department of Radiology recently presented a study titled "Assessment of Geometric Distortion in Three-Dimensional Space Using 3.0T Magnetic Resonance Imaging" at the 2025 European Congress of Radiology (ECR 2025) held in Vienna, Austria.
The "ECR 2025," hosted by the European Congress of Radiology, is a venue where radiology experts from around the world share the latest research and technologies. With over 130,000 members from 186 countries, it promotes research on the clinical application of radiological technologies and facilitates broad academic exchanges on the use of AI in medical practice.
This poster presentation at "ECR 2025" served as an opportunity to gain international recognition for the research capabilities of Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital.
Radiologic technologist Kim Chongmyung stated, "I conducted research on the degree of image distortion in MRI depending on CT and magnetic field strength during Gamma Knife surgery," and added, "I expect this will help enhance precision in the treatment of Gamma Knife surgery patients."
