Event Offers Prizes Including Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Watch
BNK Busan Bank announced on the 1st that it will participate in the 'Bank of Korea Digital Currency Pilot Project' and will hold a special event to promote the project.
The 'Digital Currency Pilot Project' is a test in which up to 100,000 citizens use a new type of digital currency, issued electronically by the Bank of Korea using blockchain technology, to make payments at designated locations. Seven banks, including Busan Bank, are participating in this project.
Last October, Busan Bank was designated as a digital currency service bank and is the only regional bank participating in this pilot project. 'Busan Bank Digital Currency' can be used by installing the 'Busan Bank Digital Voucher' app from the Play Store or App Store, opening an electronic wallet, converting to digital currency, and making payments at affiliated merchants.
Available offline merchants include 7-Eleven, Kyobo Book Centre, Hanaro Mart, and Ediya, while online merchants include Hyundai Home Shopping, Ttaenggyoyo, and Cosmo.
Busan Bank hopes for active use of digital currency and will hold an 'Early Bird Participation Event' until April 30. Customers who open an electronic wallet in the 'Busan Bank Digital Voucher' app will be entered into a draw to win prizes such as: ▲Galaxy S25 Ultra (1 winner) ▲Galaxy Watch 7 (2 winners) ▲Galaxy Buds 3 (3 winners) ▲Baedal Minjok gift certificates (10 winners) ▲Ediya Coffee coupons (300 winners).
In addition, until June 30, the 'Payment King Event' will be held for customers who convert to digital currency from their electronic wallet and make payments of 10,000 KRW or more. The three customers with the highest number of transactions will receive a 'Galaxy Watch 7', and among all event participants, a draw will be held for ▲Olive Young gift certificates (100 winners) ▲Baedal Minjok gift certificates (200 winners).
