Kyungdong Navien Launches Subscription Service for 3D Air Hood and Ventilation Purifier

Kyungdong Navien announced on the 1st that it will start a subscription service for the ‘Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus,’ which combines two products: the ‘3D Air Hood’ and the ‘Ventilation Air Purifier.’ Kyungdong Navien, which launched ‘Navien Magic’ including electric and gas ranges, range hoods, electric ovens, and microwaves in addition to its existing boiler business, is strengthening its kitchen appliance business by introducing a subscription service.

In October 2023, Kyungdong Navien launched a ‘Rental Care Service’ for ventilation air purifier products to reduce the burden of lump-sum purchases and provide periodic product maintenance such as filter replacement. With the launch of Navien Magic, the company decided to expand the range of managed products and switch to a ‘subscription service’ that diversifies the options for usage periods and service items according to customer needs.

Kyungdong Navien’s ‘3D Air Hood’ effectively manages cooking fumes, the main cause of indoor air pollution. It forms an air curtain from three directions?front and both sides?to prevent fine dust, harmful substances, and odors generated during cooking from spreading indoors. Customers who wish to subscribe to the ‘3D Air Hood’ can choose a subscription period between 3 and 6 years and a care cycle of 6 to 12 months. The care service includes steam care cleaning to remove grease on the hood surface, blower and filter maintenance, consumable cleaning and replacement, and phytoncide deodorization.

The ventilation air purifier has also been newly revamped from the existing rental care to a subscription service. The ventilation air purifier is an ‘indoor air quality management solution’ that provides both air purification and ventilation simultaneously. While purifying indoor air with its air purification function, it also filters outside air cleanly with a clean filter system equipped with UV-LED and supplies it indoors.

The company also offers a subscription for the ‘Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus,’ which combines the 3D Air Hood, ventilation air purifier, air monitor, and room controller. The ‘Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus’ integrates the 3D Air Hood and ventilation air purifier into one system to manage indoor air quality comprehensively. When cooking starts on the cooktop, the ‘3D Air Hood’ detects it and activates, followed by the ventilation air purifier’s supply mode, which quickly expels cooking fumes outside to create a comfortable kitchen environment. The air monitor allows real-time checking of indoor air quality status, including carbon dioxide concentration. A bundle discount is applied when subscribing to the ‘Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus.’
