[Special Stock] Hanbit Laser Partners with Samsung and Hyundai Motor for Humanoid Robot Battery Development... Spotlight on Equipment Supplier Up↑

Hanbit Laser is showing strength. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that Samsung and Hyundai Motor Company are jointly developing high-performance batteries for multi-purpose robots and humanoids.

As of 9:48 AM on the 1st, Hanbit Laser is trading at 5,890 KRW, up 8.47% compared to the previous day.

According to the industry, Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, and Samsung SDI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly develop robot-specific batteries and are conducting research and development (R&D). The high-capacity batteries developed by Samsung SDI will be applied to robots by Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Robotics Lab to evaluate charging and discharging performance, usage time, and lifespan.

Both parties are also expected to jointly develop batteries to be supplied to Boston Dynamics, Hyundai Motor Company's humanoid company. Currently, the battery capacity of Boston Dynamics' humanoid model "Atlas" is 3,700 Wh. It can operate for more than 4 hours when simply walking, but when performing complex tasks requiring AI or carrying heavy loads, it stops in less than an hour. This is why high-performance batteries are needed.

Meanwhile, Hanbit Laser is a company specializing in laser processing and supplies laser manufacturing equipment to Samsung SDI and Hyundai Motor Company and Kia.
