Customers who pay with WeChat Pay at both Lotte Duty Free and GS25 can receive two types of discount coupons that can be used at both stores. When paying over 350 yuan (approximately 70,000 KRW) with WeChat Pay at Lotte Duty Free, customers get an immediate discount of 50 yuan (approximately 10,000 KRW). At GS25, payments over 35 yuan (approximately 7,000 KRW) with WeChat Pay receive a 5 yuan (approximately 1,000 KRW) discount. These coupons are automatically issued to the coupon wallet within the application when customers pay with WeChat Pay and can be used conveniently without any additional procedures.
This promotion is available at all downtown branches of Lotte Duty Free and approximately 1,600 GS25 stores located in Seoul, Busan, and Jeju where Lotte Duty Free downtown stores are situated. It is especially concentrated in areas frequently visited by foreign tourists such as Jung-gu and Seongdong-gu in Seoul, and Haeundae-gu in Busan. The event runs until June 30. Additionally, Lotte Duty Free is holding a campaign until the 31st of next month, offering Chinese customers who pay with WeChat Pay at the Jeju store additional LDF PAY rewards up to 100,000 KRW based on the payment amount.
Meanwhile, Lotte Duty Free is also providing special benefits to members of Japan's ANA Airlines. All ANA Airlines members can receive an upgrade to LDF Membership Gold status, and depending on their tier, they can receive PRE LDF PAY worth 10,000 KRW and discount coupons up to 110 USD (approximately 160,000 KRW) based on their purchase amount.
Choi Mi-hwa, Team Leader of the FIT Marketing Team at Lotte Duty Free, said, "We expect many customers to visit Korea in the second quarter due to China's Labor Day and Japan's Golden Week. We will continue to offer the best duty-free shopping environment and benefits to both domestic and international customers through various partnerships."
