Job Support Provided After Counseling Starting From the 16th of This Month
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) is operating a "Visiting Job Counseling Center" to alleviate employment difficulties. The counseling centers will be held at 10 community service centers from the 16th of this month to May 29. Any resident aged 18 or older with working ability can apply.
The "Visiting Job Counseling Center" is a service where job counselors visit community centers directly to provide one-on-one customized counseling for residents who have difficulty registering for job seeking or receiving counseling due to constraints such as distance, time, or lack of information.
Residents who visit the counseling center will receive customized job search counseling tailored to their desired job type and personal history. Only registered job seekers will be provided with various recruitment information such as job fairs. The district office plans to connect job seekers with companies and manage the process until employment is secured, ensuring actual job placement.
The Visiting Job Counseling Center will operate from the 16th of this month to May 29, running sequentially at 10 community service centers on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 PM to 4 PM. Counseling will be conducted at a total of 10 centers in Yeomchang-dong, Deungchon 1-3 dong, Hwagokbon-dong, Hwagok 2-3 dong, Hwagok 6-dong, and Banghwa 1-2 dong.
If there is no counseling schedule at the resident’s community center, residents can visit the Gangseo-gu Job Center (Yangcheon-ro 57-gil 10-10) at any time to receive job counseling. Any Gangseo-gu resident aged 18 or older with working ability can participate. Applicants must pre-register by phone at the Gangseo-gu Job Center by the day before the operation date and bring their ID on the counseling day.
For more detailed visit schedules, please check the Gangseo-gu Office website bulletin board (Notices/News).
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “Professional job counselors will visit the areas where residents seeking jobs live to provide customized job counseling services,” and added, “We hope many residents who had difficulty receiving job counseling due to distance or time constraints will apply.”
