Seongnam City to Hold ‘Fighting Seongnam! Concert’
17 Times Across the Region This Year
Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) announced on the 1st that it will provide up to 2.5 million KRW in support to companies participating individually in domestic exhibitions in 2025 to expand domestic and international sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises and revitalize the local economy.
The city is recruiting 60 companies to participate in the ‘2025 Domestic Exhibition Individual Participation Support Project’ by the 11th.
The support target is small and medium-sized enterprises that individually participate in exhibitions held domestically from January to December 2025, must have their headquarters or factories located in Seongnam City, and must not receive duplicate support from other institutions.
The city will comprehensively evaluate past support history, marketing capabilities, product competitiveness, and select support targets. The support items include booth rental fees, basic installation costs, promotional expenses, online exhibition participation fees, and other exhibition participation costs, with up to 2.5 million KRW supported per company.
The total project budget is 150 million KRW, and the project will be operated by entrusting it to the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency. The support funds will be paid retrospectively by claiming to the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency after participating in the exhibition.
A Seongnam City official stated, “We plan to provide various opportunities so that local small and medium-sized enterprises can quickly respond to the latest technology trends and market changes.”
◆ Seongnam City to Hold ‘Fighting Seongnam! Concert’ 17 Times Across the Region
Seongnam City announced on the 1st that it will hold the ‘Fighting Seongnam! Concert,’ which brings cultural and artistic performances to various locations across the region, 17 times this year.
The first Fighting Seongnam Concert will be held on the 5th from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the outdoor performance venue in Beolteosan Sujin Park (the 8th scenic spot), one of the nine cherry blossom paths.
This location was chosen to present a fantastic stage amid fluttering petals timed with the peak cherry blossom season.
On that day, the Seongnam City Boys and Girls Choir will perform songs such as ‘Growing Pains,’ ‘Cherry Blossom Trip,’ and ‘If the World Becomes a Song.’
Following that, the Seongnam City Gugak Orchestra will perform ‘Beautiful Memories,’ ‘The Wind Blows,’ and ‘Orbit of Delusion’ using traditional instruments such as daegeum, haegeum, and ajaeng. A percussion performance will also be held to enhance the excitement.
Five vocal and dance teams from the Youth Professional Arts Group, selected through an open audition by Seongnam City, will also perform, presenting shows like ‘I am a Firefly,’ ‘Love Battery,’ and ‘Korean Pop (K-POP) Medley Dance.’
Subsequent Fighting Seongnam Concerts will be held at △ Unjung Middle School in Bundang-gu on April 12 △ Gaenari Park in Sangdaewon High-Tech Valley, Jungwon-gu on April 19 △ Hwarang Park in Bundang-gu on April 26. The Seongnam City Symphony Orchestra, Seongnam Youth Professional and Got Talent Arts Groups will perform, and all concerts are free of charge.
The city plans to select this year’s performance locations mainly in areas where concerts were not held last year, so that more citizens can enjoy a variety of repertoires outdoors near their homes.
