The World Peony Festival Korea Forum was organized to reexamine the value of peonies and paeonies and to explore their industrial applications. Peonies and paeonies are high value-added crops used not only for their beauty but also as ingredients in traditional medicine and cosmetics. Through this forum, domestic and international experts shared various research results and case studies.

Yeoju-si plans to expand the production of peonies and paeonies to increase the income of farmers and foresters, and to promote sustainable regional development by creating scenic agricultural complexes. Additionally, in April, Yeoju-si will visit Hataek City in China to strengthen exchange and cooperation in the peony and paeony industries, aiming to make this a new growth engine for Yeoju-si.

This event is expected to serve as an important opportunity as Yeoju-si declares 2025 as the "Year of Tourism" and pursues development strategies linking local agriculture and tourism. Through this, the city plans to widely promote the region's beauty and abundance and foster regional economic growth through tourism revitalization.

Lee Chung-woo, mayor of Yeoju-si, said, "I hope the World Peony Festival Korea Forum will discover new possibilities for paeonies and peonies and become a valuable opportunity to revitalize the local economy and improve the quality of life for farmers and foresters." He added, "I hope this event will provide citizens with a moment of relaxation and happiness."
